Physics Society, IIT Kharagpur

About us

We are the Official Student Society of the Department of Physics, IIT Kharagpur; and consist of passionate undergraduate students who work hard to bring fun events to life in physics.

Our major aims are to connect faculty and students, build a tight-knit community, and make Physics resources, people & ideas accessible to all those who are interested. This is done through a variety of activities, from seminars and research showcases to simply hanging out and playing a game together. We also offer dedicated mentorship to new physics students, actively guiding our juniors for internship and higher study opportunities.

But most of all, we embody the idea of having fun with physics, rather than just reading formulas and theorems. Come to us, not only to talk about different specialized areas of Physics (which we will do of course); but to also talk about the beauty of Physics itself.
